Driver fleeing traffic stop crashes into statues, lawn art at Casselberry business

A driver fleeing a traffic stop crashed into a Seminole County business, smashing statues and other lawn art into pieces, officials say.

CASSELBERRY, Fla. -

A driver fleeing a traffic stop crashed into a Seminole County business overnight, smashing statues and other lawn art into pieces, according to officials.

The crash occurred near State Road 436 and Anchor Road in Casselberry.

According to officials at the scene, an officer tried to pull the car over, but shortly after, it sped away.  The car swerved through a turn, crashed into a gate and struck the lawn art.

Two women were placed into a police cruiser, but it's not yet known how they were involved in the incident.

No other information has been released.
