Officials released the video on Tuesday of a man escaping a deputy at the Orange County jail complex as the searching continues.

ORLANDO, Fla. -

A man who escaped from an Orange County sheriff's deputy earlier this month has been arrested in Georgia, according to officials.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office tweeted about the arrest, which took place in Fairburn, Ga., Wednesday afternoon.

"BREAKING from @OrangeCoSheriff: Escaped prisoner WIllie Hollis arrested w/girlfriend in Georgia," the tweet said.

Hollis, described by deputies as a habitual traffic offender, was arrested February 3 after driving to the Orange County Jail complex for a probation hearing. Deputies said Hollis was not permitted to be driving.

Hollis, 31, was placed in a holding area while a deputy completed paperwork, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, which added that Hollis then apparently walked around a glass enclosure and sprinted to a vehicle, possibly driven by his girlfriend.

In a video released the following day, Hollis is seen bolting out of the lobby of the booking center and running to a car.

Investigators have said they are looking into changes to the lobby's security to prevent a similar incident from happening again.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Hollis has been arrested several times since 2009 on charges including grand theft auto, false imprisonment, rape, drug possession and theft.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said the arrest was the result of a joint effort with the U.S. Marshals Joint Task Force.
