EUSTIS, Fla. -

A Central Florida city has issued an alert about a wild boar and her six piglets.

The Eustis Police Department says residents should use caution if they are near the boar, which was spotted Friday near Lake Dot.

"Please be aware that approaching the sow and her piglets could be dangerous," police said in a statement.  "Parents are encouraged to talk with their children about the potential danger of approaching the sow and her piglets."

Police said a trapper will try to capture the sow and piglets.

No injuries have been reported.
