Friends and family gathered to remember the death of a popular 19-year-old UCF student who died in a fiery crash in north Florida.
The tears were hard to hold back as family and friends of 19-year-old Kaliegh Ottis gathered to remember her.
“I'm in shock that's she gone, it hasn't sunk in yet,” said sister Kelsey Ottis.
Best friends, Sarah Bogdon and Kaliegh, were on their way to Tallahassee when FHP said for an unknown reason, Bogdon swerved off the road hitting a tree on I-10.
Family says it was avoid hitting another car that cut in front of them.
“A car swerved into Sarah, she over compensated to get out of the way of the car and swerved off the road,” said best friend Kenzie Summers.
She saw the pair just hours before the crash.
“Sarah got out of the car from the back trunk, went around to Kaliegh, took her out of her seat belt and tried to revive her,” said Summers.
Courtney Sexton remembers her fellow Alpha Delta Pi sorority member as always being happy.
“I know she affected my life more than anyone else and she will always be my little sis.”
Kaliegh Ottis loved volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House and her church, as well as cheerleading.
And although they can't bring her back, family and friends say they will carry on her motto "Don't let anyone ever dull your sparkle".
Sarah Bogdon only had minor injuries.
As for Kaliegh , the family plans on holding funeral services for her next week, and they are asking for people to send a donation to the Ronald McDonald house in her name.
