Family of missing 38-year-old woman seeks answers
A Kissimmee family is desperately searching for answers after their loved one vanished.
Kristine Miller Bruce, 38, works for Disney Cruise Lines as an accountant and hasn't been seen in two weeks.
Carol Pinto still believes that someone has information that can help them find her missing sister.
"I'm not going to give up hope," said Pinto. "It doesn't make any sense that someone has not seen her."
Bruce was last seen walking out the back door of her home leaving behind all her personal belongings. Her family said she was recovering from major surgery and was on medical leave.
Pinto said deputies spent seven hours searching the woods near Bruce's home on Friday, even draining a small pond and canal since last week. K-9's apparently picked up her scent in the area, but there's still been no sign of her.
Bruce's family passed out 1,000 flyers near her home Friday afternoon, adding to the 3,000 flyers they've already given out.
"We have put flyers in mailboxes, we've talked to every person we see on the street," said Norma Jean Torres, Bruce's cousin.
Bruce has multiple tattoos, including a rabbit on her right arm and an owl on her left leg.
The family said she has a history of depression and panic attacks.
Kristine Miller Bruce is 5 foot, 2 inches, has medium-length brown hair and was last seen possibly wearing shorts, a T-shirt and white robe. The family is also offering a $1,000 reward.
