Boynton Beach police arrest a woman who -- after agreeing to become a confidential informant for two narcotics officers -- asked them for help hiring a hit man to kill her husband and a friend.

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla -

A South Florida woman is behind bars after authorities say she tried to hire a hit man to kill her husband and a family friend.

Boynton Beach police were called to Annybelkis Terrero's home amid complaints of drugs and prostitution.

Terrero then agreed to become a confidential informant, promising to lead police to a drug dealer. Later, she told police she wanted her husband killed.

The officers set her up with an undercover officer posing as a hit man. They said Terrero gave them stolen credit cards to pay for the deal and also offered a loaded gun.

The Palm Beach post reports she was jailed Friday for solicitation of murder and bribery. It's unclear if she's retained an attorney.

Family friend William Straub said she's struggling with drug addiction and psychological problems, but isn't a threat.
