ORLANDO, Fla. -

A 60-year-old Orlando man was arrested on allegations of misusing the 911 system, calling four times in a two-hour period and threatening to find his girlfriend and "chop her up."

Butler Armstrong was arrested Friday on charges of misuse of 911.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Armstrong called 911 late Thursday to report a domestic battery and theft, claiming his girlfriend stole items from his home.

A deputy said Armstrong began to drink a can of beer after an investigation of the alleged incident, but Armstrong called 911 a couple hours later to report other missing items, the Sheriff's Office said.

He also stated that he wanted to find his girlfriend and "chop her up" using a machete, deputies said.

According to the Sheriff's Office, it was determined that Armstrong was intoxicated, and he made two more calls to 911 demanding that a deputy come to his house.  The Sheriff's Office said that Armstrong again stated that if a deputy does not come to his home he will handle the situation himself with a machete.

A deputy then went to Armstrong's home and arrested him.

Armstrong was taken to the Orange County Jail.
