ORLANDO, Fla. -

An east Orlando gas station has finally broken the $3 mark at the pump.

The Circle K Shell gas station at the corner of Rouse Road and Bloomfield Road near the 408 Tollway changed their sign to $2.99 per gallon on Monday, making it possibly the first station in the Orlando area to roll back below $3.00 for non-promotional reasons.

The station's manager tells Local 6 he has several other stores throughout the area, and he was delighted to see the price change.

Throughout the state, gas prices have fallen more than three cents per gallon over the last week, averaging $3.18 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.

Nationally, gas averages around $3.20 per gallon.

Prices are more than 15 cents lower than one year ago and more than 8 cents lower than one month ago, according to GasBuddy.com.
