Group hands out Bibles at some Florida high schools
The Florida Family Policy Council distributed free Bibles at several public high schools in Orange and Collier counties.
The Bibles were made available for students to pick up during lunch periods on Thursday at nine schools in Orange County and eight schools in Collier County.
The distribution was in recognition of Religious Freedom Day.
The council's officials said volunteers left the Bibles on tables at each school, with a sign to indicate they were free and could be taken by students.
