ORLANDO, Fla. -

A driver is in custody after he crashed into two parked vehicles in a driveway and then ran away from the scene, Orlando police say.

A vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed at 9:12 p.m. Thursday north on Bruton Boulevard when it entered the front yard of 1601 Bruton Blvd.

Police said the vehicle crashed through the front yard fence, then crashed into two vehicles parked in the driveway.

The driver ran from the vehicle but was caught by people who were in the area and witnessed the crash, according to Orlando police.

Police said he was the only occupant of the vehicle. Nobody was injured in the incident.

The man was taken into custody for hit-and-run. Police said he was treated at Orlando Regional Medical Center for minor injuries and was booked Thursday night into the Orange County Jail.

Police said it is unknown if alcohol was involved.
