A fire on Hammon Drive in Apopka is being investigated as arson.

APOPKA, Fla. -

Investigators are looking into a fire on Hammon Drive in Apopka as a possible arson.

Orange County Fire Rescue said the fire started just before 11:30 Sunday morning and engulfed the garage before spreading to a bedroom.

No one was inside at the time of the fire but witnesses reported seeing a man run from the scene. That man, Graylin Scott, was taken to the hospital from the scene.

The homeowner, Shannon Buie, said Scott is her estranged husband and she believes he set the fire after an argument.

Orange County jail records show Scott is behind bars now but no charges have been listed.

The State Fire Marshal has not confirmed whether Scott is a suspect in its arson investigation.

Buie told Local 6 her family will stay in a hotel for now.
