Kissimmee police are searching for a sexual predator who removed his GPS monitoring unit, stole a car and absconded from his home.
Elihu Lloyd, who turns 44 on Thursday, was last seen around 4:30 a.m. at his home, which he lives at with roommates.
According to Kissimmee police, Lloyd stole his roommate's gray 2005 Ford Taurus SE with the Florida tag AXDM86. The vehicle's front passenger-side headlight is damaged, and the car's front passenger-side wheel is a spare tire, police said.
"I woke up to cops knocking on the door, flashing lights in the window asking for Elihu Lloyd and I stepped outside because they asked everybody to get out," said roommate Charles Buffington. "I stepped outside and my car was missing."
Lloyd was described as a white man about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 153 pounds. He has blonde hair and hazel eyes. Lloyd also goes by the aliases Jacob Lloyd and Jake Lloyd.
Buffington has lived with Lloyd for a few months, with two other men, all of them with sex offenses.
"He seemed nice, I mean, me and him were starting to be really good friends," said Buffington, who added if he sees Lloyd again he doesn't know if it'd be "words or something else."
In 2010, Lloyd was convicted in Osceola County on charges of sexual battery/coerce child by adult. The report states in 2009, Elihu sexually battered a young girl after he got her so drunk she got sick. He was convicted and was being monitored and supervised by the Department of Corrections. Kissimmee police did monthly checks on him.
Anyone with information about Lloyd or the vehicle he was last seen driving is asked to contact the Kissimmee Police Department or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS. He is wanted on charges of tampering with an electronic monitoring device and violation of probation.
Lloyd is originally from Virginia and was last living in Intercession City before moving to Kissimmee.
