Zimmerman, who was acquitted of second-degree murder in the death of Trayvon Martin, was driving 60 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone, according to police.

Police said he was pulled over driving hisĀ  on Rinehart Road and given a citation for $256.

Zimmerman has made headlines since his July 2013 acquittal after he was pulled over in Forney, Texas for speeding in July. Zimmerman was given a warning in the Texas incident, where police say he was legally armed.

Zimmerman also helped rescue a family of four off State Road 417 from an overturned Sports Utility Vehicle just four days after being found not guilty of murder.

Last month, Zimmerman was also spotted at the Kel-Tec weapons plant in Cocoa, but it's not clear if he bought a gun.
