Last call for 'Tom and Jerry's' bar in Winter Park

Tom & Jerry's Bar & Lounge opened its doors in Winter Park shortly after World War II, when a Coke still cost 5 cents but after 67 years the bar, as customers know it, is closing.
The bar is moving from its original location to make way for the new development Rauvadage on the corner of Lee Road and 17-92, where Miller's Ale House is the only open tennant.
Locals still have one last chance to grab a drink of the neighborhood bar. They're hosting a closing bash Thursday night.
Kim Woodam says she has fond memories of Tom & Jerry's, even admitting the bar became a fixture while she was growing up and technically before she should have been allowed inside.
"I can even remember in my childhood coming and picking up my friend's father after a night of experiencing Tom & Jerry's," she recalled.
A manager tells Local 6 the owners will re-open Tom & Jerry's at a new Winter Park location in several months. It's slated to open off New England Avenue near the Dexter's.
But some customers say the institution just won't be the same.
"I know there's gonna be great things coming, but it's kind of sad because it's been here for all of my lifetime," said Woodam.
