ORLANDO, Fla. -

Time was running out Tuesday night when it came to finishing holiday shopping.

Most stores are now closed, but Local 6 found that Walgreens and CVS stores were seeing a big last-minute rush.

Terri Crawford stopped in to the Walgreens on Edgewater drive to get flowers for her family's Christmas breakfast.

"I had to get a centerpiece and it was the last one in there," said Crawford. "I don't usually do this. This is my first time I'm a little disappointed in myself."

Crawford said it'll be the last time she waits until the last minute to shop.

"I'll never do this again. I would have preferred to get a little bit better," said Crawford.

Lynn White went into Walgreens with her daughter to get goodies for the family's stocking stuffers. She said it was a breeze.

"It wasn't anything like we dealt with earlier today at other grocery stores," said White.

While customers were glad some stores are open for the holidays, most Walgreens stores will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Christmas Day. Many CVS stores will open late on Christmas Day. Contact your local CVS for store hours.

Other places that will be open on Christmas Day include Denny's, IHOP, Starbucks and 7- Eleven.
