A Winter Park helicopter pilot got the surprise of a lifetime when he was given a surprise homecoming parade. That moment was now viewed around the world by millions of people in a 60-second ad that will be played during Super Bowl XLVIII.
According to USA Today's 2014 Super Bowl Ad Meter results the Budweiser ad titled "Hero's Welcome", which aired during the third quarter, had the third highest score out of all of the Super Bowl ads, a 7.21. Puppy Love, another Budweiser ad that aired in the fourth quarter, earned the highest rating of any Super Bowl commercial, an 8.29.
Army Lieutenant Charles Nadd, 24, starred in its latest Super Bowl ad with the footage they shot from his surprise parade.
Nadd was surprised by the entire town when he just got back from an 8-month tour in Afghanistan. His fiancée picked him up from the airport and drove him right into the parade.
Lt. Nadd had no idea of the homecoming parade when he returned home, and he only recently found out that the town's parade would be featured during the Super Bowl.
