Police are investigating a Longwood self-storage unit after they say they found an an active meth lab on Tuesday.

Police say an employee at the All American Self Storage of Longwood called police after seeing a suspicious man at one of the storage units around 6:40a.m.

Police found 43-year-old Steven Williams inside with a woman, who both appeared to be living inside the storage unit, along with ingredients, chemicals and tools to cook meth.

Police say Williams was cooking meth for personal use only and doesn't appear he was selling it or making it for profit.

"We are detaining the area ... and we will make sure it's clean before we leave," Officer Kevin Tuck with the Longwood Police Department said Tuesday.

Police say their main concern now is the dangerous chemicals and are working to clean the storage unit.

The woman with Williams was not arrested. Police are still investigating to see if she was involved in making meth.
