Man in critical condition after hit-and-run in Saint Cloud

Police are searching for driver who hit a man and left him on the side of Canoe Creek Road in Saint Cloud.

SAINT CLOUD, Fla. -

Saint Cloud police are investigating a hit-and-run that left one man with life-threatening injuries.

Officers were called around 9:15 Saturday night after a person discovered the man on the side of Canoe Creek Road near Camelot Boulevard. 

Upon arrival, Officers found a black man, approximately 40 years old, lying on the side of the road. The man appeared to have been struck by a vehicle and the driver left the scene.

Investigators say the driver's vehicle should have visible right-side damage or front-end damage.

The victim was flown to Orlando Regional Medical Center. His name is not being released until next of kin are notified.

The Saint Cloud Police Department is asking for the public's help to find any witnesses for their hit-and-run investigation.  Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Cloud Police Department at 407-891-6700 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
