Man drowns after driving lawn mower into Indian River, Brevard deputies say

Brevard County Fire Rescue say a man drowned on Monday morning after driving his lawn mower into the Indian River.

BCFR said they received a report from a neighbor on the 5000 block of North Highway 1 in Cocoa who said she saw the man drive his lawn mower into the river.

The man was found by Brevard County deputies and was brought to shore. He died at the scene, deputies said.

BCSO will be investigating the incident.

The man's identity has not been released, pending next-of-kin notifications.
