Minutes after talking to Orange County sheriff's deputies, a man was found shot to death at an Orlando condo complex, officials say.

Orange County deputies patrolling an Orlando condo complex found a man shot to death less than 20 minutes after talking to him, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The fatal shooting occurred late Thursday at the Blossom Park Condominiums on Landstreet Road, less than a mile from the Florida Mall.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office has released the identity of the victim as 39-year-old Anthony Jones

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, two deputies were walking through the complex around 11:30 p.m. and spoke to a man who said he was waiting for a friend.

Less than 20 minutes later, the deputies, who were now at the other end of the complex, heard gunshots and found the man dead, the Sheriff's Office said.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene by Orange County Fire Rescue.
