Arrest made after man found slain in Orlando

Orlando police investigate a homicide.

ORLANDO, Fla. -

A 33-year-old man was arrested Friday in the slaying of a 50-year-old man who was found beside a home in Orlando.

Orlando police were called around 12:15 a.m. Thursday to the 1000 block of West Bentley Street after shots were heard, and a man, later identified as Anthony Q. Thomas, was found on the side of a house with apparent gunshot wounds.

Thomas was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, police said.

Detectives obtained a warrant for Reggie Harris, who was arrested without incident.

A motive for the shooting was not known.
