Man wanted in Brevard theft

Brevard deputies say a man lured a wheelchair-bound woman to a home and robbed her.

COCOA, Fla. -

Brevard County deputies arrested a 16-year-old on allegations that he lured a wheelchair-bound woman to a home and robbed her.

Deputies said the teen first helped the woman as she ordered food at a McDonald's in Cocoa.  He then convinced her to purchase a gas-powered wheelchair from him and set up a meeting, deputies said.

According to investigators, the teen robbed the woman when she arrived at the house and then ran away.

Deputies say a Crimeline tip led to the teen's arrest.

The teen was taken to juvenile detention.
