ORLANDO, Fla. -

Orlando police arrested a man suspected of robbing an Orlando bakery Thursday afternoon and are investigating whether he was connected to other robberies.

Only Local 6 was there as police handcuffed the suspect right outside of Cafe De Colombia on South Semoran Boulevard near Michigan Street. The bakery is in the the same plaza where another business was targeted just this week.

Workers said the man walked in the store, acted like he had a gun and demanded cash from the register.

Angel Salazar works at the restaurant two doors down and heard all the commotion.

"Two police men came out, and they had their guns in their hands and everything," said Salazar. "It's pretty scary, it would be that close and unexpected because it's a nice quiet area."

Police are investigating if that same suspect targeted a Domino's Pizza next door, which was robbed Monday. They released this surveillance photo of the robbery, where the suspect also implied he a had a gun.

People who come to the shopping plaza are shocked to hear about two robberies in one week.

"I'm shocked to hear a robbery around this area," said Paul Chisholm.

"It's kind of scary because I have four kids and just standing here I wouldn't feel safe," said Shirley Guerra.

Local 6 spoke to people who believe the man may live across the street from the plaza in an apartment complex, but police haven't confirmed that.

Staff from the bakery told Local 6 they handed over surveillance video to police.
