ORLANDO, Fla. -

Police arrested a 21-year-old homeless man on allegations of raping a woman inside a downtown Orlando parking garage.

Tobias Tremayne Franklin was arrested on charges of sexual battery with a deadly weapon or physical force, kidnapping, false imprisonment and battery.

According to Orlando police, the woman was walking in the garage, located at 62 West Jefferson Street, around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when she was grabbed by the neck from behind by Franklin, who threatened to kill her if she screamed.

Franklin covered the woman's mouth and nose and twisted her arm behind her back before raping her, police said.

The victim told police she was first attacked in the stairwell on the sixth floor of the garage, but then Franklin dragged her into the main portion of the garage.

A security guard patrolling the garage noticed the incident, causing Franklin to run away.

The guard called 911 and Franklin was arrested nearby a short time later, according to Orlando police.
