Sanford police are searching for the gunman who shot a man through his front door, hitting him twice.

SANFORD, Fla. -

Sanford police are searching for a gunman who shot a man through his front door, hitting him twice.

Police said Christopher Dixon, 25, was shot around 5:30 a.m. at 120 Country Club Dr., across from Goldsboro Elementary Magnet School.

Both gunshots struck Dixon in the abdomen, according to police.

Officers gathered evidence from the home.

No other details have been released.
