The boyfriend of a woman shot and killed while her two young children were nearby has been arrested and charged in her murder.

Orlando, Fla. -

The man suspected of shooting and killing his girlfriend while her two young children were nearby has been arrested.

A judge denied bond to DeJesus at his first appearance Saturday morning.

Orange County Sheriff's deputies arrested John DeJesus on a first-degree murder charge just after midnight Saturday.

Deputies say DeJesus shot his girlfriend, Yoliz-Marie DeJesus Borrero, 22, in the head on April 30. Deputies found her inside her home at 3505 Millrace Court after a report of a home invasion.

DeJesus told investigators three masked men kicked in the door of the home, demanded money, and then shot Borrero in front of her toddler and infant.

DeJesus is currently being held at the Orange County jail on no bond.  He is expected to go before a judge Saturday morning.
