Man walking along Osceola County road abducted, tied up with rope
A man walking along an Osceola County road was abducted by masked men who gagged him and tied rope around his neck, hands and feet before dropping him off, deputies said.
The kidnapping occurred around 7 a.m. Saturday near Old Dixie Highway and Greenup Street in Kissimmeee.
According to the Osceola County Sheriff's Office, a dark blue or black, four-door vehicle approached him while driving slowly. Two masked men exited the vehicle and forced the victim into the car, deputies said.
The assailants then tied rope around the man's neck, hands and feet and put something in his mouth so he could not talk, deputies said.
About 20 minutes later, the man was left on the side of the road near the place he had been abducted, deputies said.
The victim was not seriously injured and told deputies that he did not know the culprits.
A motorist driving by saw the victim and called for help.
One of the assailants was described as a black man, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 160 pounds. He had a thick body frame and dark complexion and was wearing dark shorts and a short-sleeved dark shirt with a white design.
Another culprit was described as a black man, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, with an average build and dark complexion. He was wearing dark pants and a gray jacket with white stripes along the side.
The victim described the vehicle as a later model dark blue or black car, possibly a Honda Accord with dark leather seats.
