OCALA, Fla. -

Ocala police have arrested the man who they say robbed a bank while apparently dressed as a construction worker on Monday morning.

Police said Andrew Douglas Bento, 45, went into the SunTrust Bank on SW 17th Street just after 9 a.m. and showed a note to the teller before leaving with an undetermined amount of money.

No weapon was spotted and no injuries were reported.

Police said they also connected Bento to the robbery at the Munroe Regional Medical Center in March. He was charged with two counts of strong arm robbery after attacking 41-year-old Michelle Roberts and taking her purse.

Bento was spotted in surveillance pictures wearing a reflective vest, hard hat, dark T-shirt and blue jeans at the time of the robbery, according to police, but then shed the vest, hard hat and T-shirt.

Police said they were able to connect Bento to the hospital robbery because he was wearing the same shorts in Monday's robbery as the surveillance photo from MRMC.

Bento was arrested at the Comfort Motel on South Pine Avenue.
