Johnny Pappas, owner of Spartan Heating and Cooling in Ocala, says he and his guys will be working overtime, helping people who are having problems turning on the heat.
"The biggest problem that we're seeing is that the filters are very dirty, people think that in the winter time, the filter doesn't have to be clean so they tend to forget about it," he said.
Pappas says it's important to make sure you have a clean filter, so there is nothing clogging or restricting the air flow.
Ocala resident Darrell Evans says he's glad he already got his unit checked out.
"You never know what's going to happen with your furnace and when you have cold weather you don't want it to shut down," he said.
His wife, Claralou, is planning her outfit for Thursday morning, when she walks her dog.
"I'll have on my gloves and my hat for the sun but the hood over it," she said.
