Masked couple robs 2 Orlando stores

A couple wearing masks robs two Orlando convenience stores at gunpoint, according to police.

ORLANDO, Fla. -

A man and woman wearing masks robbed two 7-Eleven stores in Orlando at gunpoint.

The robberies happened around 2:30 a.m. Monday at 1350 North Mills Avenue and 901 South Orange Street.

According to Orlando police, the duo entered the Mills Avenue store and the man pulled out a gun and robbed the clerk.  No one was injured.

About 10 minutes later, the second store was robbed.  No injuries were reported.

Orlando police believe the robberies are connected and also related to a LaQuinta hotel robbery and another 7-Eleven robbery, both of which occurred last week.

No other details have been released, and an investigation is ongoing.
