A Florida woman is angry because her son's poor grades made the honor roll.
According to the TC Palm, Beth Tillack said her son, who attends Pasco Middle School, came home with a C and D grade, as well as As on his report card.
Tillack said she thought her son needed to work harder in school, but then she saw not only did the principal write "good job" on the report card, her son also made the honor roll!
"I immediately assumed it's a mistake," said Tillack.
But it wasn't.
By Pasco School District policy, the honor roll is determined by students' grade point average, not by the amount of actual A and B letter grades they receive.
So Tillack complained, sending an email to the school superintendent, Kurt Browning.
Browing agreed, according to the Tampa Bay Times. He said his goal is to change the policy so that only students with all As or As and Bs are added to the honor roll by next school year.
