ORLANDO, Fla. -

A moped driver has died after crashing into a city of Orlando garbage truck on Tuesday morning.

Police said the moped was traveling behind the truck on southbound on Conway Road when the truck slowed and signaled to make a right turn.

The driver of the moped, James Texidor, 52, came around to the right of the truck and struck it as the truck turned.

Texidor was ejected from the moped under the truck and suffered critical injuries. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he died.

Orlando police say Conway Road was shut down southbound at Loring Place as the investigation continues.

No other details on the crash were immediately available.
