Orange County Sheriff's Office said the driver of a pickup truck and one passenger, were shot on Denson Drive, causing the driver to lose control and crash into a home on the 5900 block of Westbury Drive just before 5 p.m.

The driver was killed, one of the passengers was shot and a third passenger suffered injuries in the crash, deputies said. The two men injured in the truck were identified as Thomas Martin, 20, and Jabaris Kilpatrick, 35.

Deputies said the video shows the suspected vehicle, a white sedan, moving east on Densen Drive and firing on the blue pickup truck. Investigators said they believe that as the vehicles passed the camera, someone from the white vehicle fired into the blue truck.

The gunman is still on the loose.

Local 6 spoke to the woman who says she helped raise the 19-year-old driver of the pickup truck, Deontae Rodgers. Police haven't officially identified the driver.

"He was given to be my DCF he was going through a turbulent time and moved in with me," the woman, identifying herself as Kelly, said, adding that she believes Kilpatrick was the intended target.

"He was at McDonald's waiting for me and some gentleman asked for a ride saying he only lived a mile down the road and he gave him a ride," Kelly said.

According to deputies, three people -- one adult female, a 16-year-old and a 4-year-old -- inside of the home suffered non-life-threatening injuries when the truck crashed into the home.

The grandmother of the people living in the home the car crashed into says the 4-year-old was released from the hospital on Thursday.

"He has lacerations to his face and the said of his face is swollen," said Teresa Prentice.

Video from Local 6 news helicopter Sky 6 showed people being brought out of the home on stretchers to an ambulance.

It's not clear what the motive was for the shooting. A suspect description was not available.
