Officer injured in 3-car crash near Universal Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. -

An Orlando police officer was injured and taken to a hospital Tuesday morning after being involved in a three-vehicle crash near Universal Orlando.

The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. on Universal Boulevard at International Drive.

The officer, whose name has not been released, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to Orlando police, who said no one else was seriously hurt.

Roads were blocked in the area but reopened around 11 a.m.

The crash in under investigation, and Orlando police said one of the other drivers was at fault.

I's not immediately known if wet roads played a role in the wreck.
