The Florida Department of Health has confirmed to Local 6 it has discovered at least one person in Florida has become sick as a result of the Foster Farms salmonella outbreak.

The USDA first reported on Monday it detected high levels of salmonella at three Foster Farms poultry plants. Since then, close to 300 people have gotten sick across 18 states. The list of patients now includes at least one Floridian.

The Florida Department of Health did not release any information about the patient, including where the person lives in Florida.
