'Operation Burglar Box' hopes to prevent thieves from breaking into homes during holidays

Law enforcement agencies are warning homeowners to be careful with their holiday trash because it could lead burglars to a treasure inside their home.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office says burglars often target homes with empty big ticket-item boxes placed along the curbside for recycling. Packaging from items like televisions, computers and cameras can grab unnecessary attention. Therefore, the Sheriff's Office is offering a solution to get rid of all that trash called "Operation Burglar Box".
With the help from Orlando Recycling, the agency plans to have eight recycling Dumpsters available for empty cardboard boxes around the county.
The city of Daytona Beach is also offering the same kind of help for homeowners. From December 24 to December 28, the city will set up 14 different recycling dumpsters for boxes.
