Orange County deputies search for woman who tried to strangle cab driver

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -

Orange County deputies are searching on Monday for the woman who they say attempted to strangle a cab driver last week.

Deputies said the woman was picked up from the Greyhound bus station on John Young Parkway. She attempted to strangle the driver while a belt while riding on Old Winter Garden Road in the area of Ivey Lane.

It's not clear why she attacked the driver or where she was being driven to.

The woman, who is described by deputies as a black woman standing approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and 150 pounds, was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
