APOPKA, Fla. -

An Apopka man has been arrested after Orange County deputies say he was impersonating a police officer outside of a bar early Thursday morning.

Carol King, 36, has been charged with falsely impersonating an officer to two women outside of the Blue Jeans Lounge on East Semoran Bouelvard at 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

Deputies said King, wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans, approached the first victim behind the bar as she was dropping off a friend, saying he was a "police officer" and that there was a missing girl.

When asked if he was a deputy, King told the victim that he forgot his badge. He then read off the victim's ID and tag number to a touch screen phone before saying they were free to go, according to the report.

A second female victim reported the same incident to deputies.

When King was approached by deputies, he said that he came outside and was confronted with some "chaos" and only said "thanks" to the victim.

He was arrested and taken to Orange County jail where he asked for an attorney.
