ORLANDO, Fla. -

Orlando police say they have identified the suspect they say shot and killed a man outside of Winnie Palmer Hospital last month.

Brixten Dyer, 19, has been named the suspect in the shooting of Alex Mazzan, 20, which occurred near Sturtevant Street and Lucerne Terrace in May. Mazzan had been visiting someone at hospital and was leaving when he exchanged words about getting on the sidewalk, according to police.

Dyer has been in Orange County Jail on a no-bond status since June 6 on unrelated armed robbery charges, police said.

Homicide investigators are currently working with prosecutors at the State Attorney’s Office regarding the official charges, police said.
