Orlando's Elayna Popwell and her delicious treats need Central Florida's votes in order to win up to $1 million.
Popwell has been named a semifinalist in the annual Pillsbury Bake-off. Her recipe for "Apricot Almond Buttercups" earned a spot in the semifinal round for the "Quick Rise and Shine Breakfasts" category.
According to the bake-off web site, Popwell's recipe calls for apricot preserves, almond paste and crescent rounds as well as sugar, flour and butter. Popwell says the buttercups take 35 minutes to bake.

For the first time in the history of the competition, the public will choose which 100 recipes will make the final round and compete for the top prizes.
Voting is open until September 26. If Popwell is chosen, she will bring her recipe to the finals in mid-November in Las Vegas.
