$400 million Powerball ticket sold in South Carolina

Central Floridians will have a chance to win the 5th largest lottery jackpot on record during the next Powerball drawing.

ORLANDO, Fla. -

At least one winning Powerball ticket from Wednesday night's drawing was sold in South Carolina, according to lottery officials.

The winner or winners in South Carolina will now have 180 days to claim the $400 million jackpot. Wednesday's jackpot was the fifth largest prize in lottery history.

Players in Central Floridia shouldn't be discouraged. At least one ticket sold in Florida is worth $2 million, according lottery officials.

The jackpot will reset to $40 million for the next drawing on Saturday. The drawing will air live only on Local 6 at 10:59 p.m.
