An Orlando man is facing grand theft charges after police say he tried to steal a semi-truck full of beauty supplies.

According to an Orange County arrest affidavit, Arley Fernandez, 28, was pulled over on Tuesday when officers spotted the truck heading south on the Florida Turnpike near State Road 528.

The truck, which was full of beauty supplies to be delivered to Sally Beauty Supply, was reported stolen back on Sept. 3 in Orange County.

According to the affidavit, Fernandez tried to tell officers the truck belonged to him, but he could not provide any information on who loaded the trailer.

Fernandez is now facing charges for stealing goods valued at over $100,000 and dealing in stolen property.
