Port Orange man accused of growing marijuana in coffee shop

Christopher Brown was arrested on charges of operating a cannabis growth operation in a Port Orange coffee shop.

PORT ORANGE, Fla. -

A man was arrested Tuesday after police discovered marijuana being grown inside his coffee shop.

Christopher Brown, the owner of East Coast Roasters Coffee in Port Orange, was arrested after an employee informed officials that cannabis was being grown inside a room of the coffee shop.

After obtaining a search warrant, police say they found a locked room with a cannabis growth operation.

Multiple plants were seized from the room, all in various stages of growth.

Brown was arrested at his home without incident.
