Red light runner kills 1

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -

Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating an early Saturday accident that left one person dead and two others injured.

Troopers said 21-year-old Cesar Carmona was exiting off State Road 408, heading east on Highway 50 at a green light.

Troopers said for unknown reasons, 21-year-old Shawna Ormsby of Titusville ran a red light and smashed into the passenger side of the car Carmona was driving.

Troopers said Carmona was critically injured, and one of his passengers, Salvadore Sapeg, was killed in the accident.

Troopers said a third passenger, 29-year-old Sonny Valentin, suffered minor injuries.

Troopers said the accident remains under investigation and charges are pending.
