For a limited time this summer, Burger King will be offering its own version of the McDonalds McRib.

Burger King will release its 2013 summer menu on Thursday, and in order to compete with McDonalds' popular McRib, the fast-food chain will reportedly be offering its own rib sandwich for a limited time.

USA Today reports the BK Rib Sandwich will contain boneless meat, smothered in a tangy sauce, served on sweet bread.

The sandwich will be offered for $3.49 a la carte and $5.59 as a meal.

Along with the rib sandwich, Burger King will be offering pulled pork sandwiches, barbecue sandwiches, sweet potato fries, and several Oreo-infused desserts.

The new rib sandwich and the entire summer menu will be available nation-wide at Burger King restaurants on May 21.
