During the holidays, and in the midst of the Salvation Army's red kettle drive, blog posts circulated to boycott the organization due to it's apparent anti-gay practices.

An Orlando area commander responded to those accusations in a full-length interview with Local 6's Erik Sandoval.

"It really disturbs me when someone says you discriminate against gay and lesbian individuals because that's just not the truth," said Major Mark Woodcock, the commander for the Orlando area.

Social media was rampant with reports about the organizations stance on homosexuality after an Australian Salvation Army spokesperson participated in an interview on a radio show that focused on LGBT issues.

That entire radio interview can be heard here.
