JUPITER, Fla. -

Coast Guard officials are searching for a Brevard County 16-year-old who vanished near the Jupiter Inlet in South Florida.

TCPalm.com reports Billy Patient was on an outing with his group at The Academy, a facility run by the American Addiction Centers that helps teens deal with destructive habits and compulsive behaviors, at Juno Beach Pier when he disappeared Sunday.

Coast Guard officials sent several boats to look for Billy on Monday. Palm Beach County Sheriff's officials also searched by helicopter.

"When he did a head count, Billy wasn't with them," Billy's mother told TC Palm.

Billy is described as a white male with long dirty blond hair. He is approximately five-feet and five-inches tall.
