An Orange County post office has been cleared after a suspicious envelope sparked evacuations.

CHRISTMAS, Fla. -

An Orange County post office has been cleared after a suspicious envelope sparked evacuations on Tuesday afternoon.

The suspicious envelope was reported at a post office in Christmas on State Road 50 near South Fort Christmas Road at around 1:30 p.m.

Two employees discovered a "suspicious manilla envelope" and called authorities.

The envelope was stuffed with "spiritual" writings and deputies said they believe someone with some mental health issues may have dropped it off.

The post office opened up once the package was removed and deemed safe.

The holiday season is the busiest time of the year for Christmas post office, as people come from all over to drop off their cards and packages so it can receive the "Christmas, Fla." postmark.
