Suspicious device in St. Cloud
ST. CLOUD, Fla. -

An Osceola County storage facility was evacuated and the surrounding area was shut down Wednesday for a suspicious device that turned out to be a military training rocket.

The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. at the St. Cloud Mini Warehouses at 1324 Mississippi Avenue.

According to deputies, an employee discovered the device and called police and the surrounding area between 13th Street and 14th Street between Oregon Avenue and Mississippi Avenue was shut down and evacuated.

The Orange County bomb squad retrieved the device, which was "found not to be an active bomb," deputies said.

The scene was cleared and the area was reopened.
