St. Cloud woman dies after house fire

St. Cloud firefighters rescued a woman out of her burning home early Sunday morning.

ST. CLOUD, Fla. -

St. Cloud firefighters said they rescued a woman who was trapped inside of her burning home.

Firefighters said they came to the home at 1009 Elm Street around 3:11 a.m. after they got a call about a fire.

Firefighters said when they got to the home in the Mark Mobile Home Park they discovered a female, later identified as 57-year-old Sallie Mason, trapped inside.

Firefighters said she was taken to St. Cloud Regional Medical Center, then transferred to Orlando Regional Medical Center where she died.

The State Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause of the fire.
